we first met

you got drunk

and said you

could see yourself

marrying me.

A few nights ago

you got drunk

with some friends.

We didn’t talk

until noon

the next day.

We once spent

an hour on the phone

only discussing

different foods.

We talked on the phone

last Thursday at 3 am.

The call lasted

less than a minute.

You used to say

“I love you”

to the point where

it annoyed me.
